About Our Victoria Transmission Shop
Owners, Larry and Diane Johnson grew up in the West Shore area of Victoria before Larry became a Jouneyman Automatic Transmission Technician. After 13 years of working in other Victoria area automatics transmission shops, Larry partnered with Bullfrog to open up an automatic transmission shop in the West Shore area of Victoria. He now has over 29 years in the industry, and has test driven over 20,000 vehicles.
We started out in Victoria in 1993 as a Bullfrog-automatics transmission shop on Jacklin Rd. Diane and Larry Johnson changed the name of their Victoria-automatic transmissions shop to West Shore Transmissions Ltd. after buying out their old partner in 1999. In 2004 they had grown out of the old location and moved to Dunford Ave., just around the corner off Jacklin Rd. Managers Larry Johnson and Jason Mawle, along with Secretary Diane Johnson, and employees Gilly, Clayton, Mark, and Sean complete a knowledgeable team of automatics and standards transmission specialists.
West Shore's Victoria automatic transmissions shop has had their technicians certified, thanks to a national program conducted by the non-profit National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE). ASE has taken this responsibility one step further by offering a recognition opportunity for highly qualified repair facilities, which allows them to showcase their technicians and their commitment to excellence. It is called the Blue Seal of Excellence Recognition Program, which West Shore's Victoria automatics transmission shop is included in.
